Anyone have experience with the Mullen?

DS had the Mullen Scales of Early learning assessment administered today at his Dev Pedi office.  He was super cooperative and did well scoring above average for Visual reception and then in the average range Receptive language, fine motor and Expressive language.  His lowest score was Expressive followed by fine motor - neither of which are surprising to me as these are the areas we are focusing on - but according to this still within "normal" range for his age.

My question is - what does this mean?  The evaluator said this was a good indicator that he'll be able to keep up in school next year (he is going to general ed kinder next year).  ok, good, what else?

But,  I'm not used to these tests coming back to me average, typical, or normal.  I am happy, of course, that he is making progress but it also concerns me that I'll have to start fighting to keep services soon.
