how can i find a nanny

i am looking for a nanny, what is the best way to find one.

Re: how can i find a nanny

  • We used a local agency.  It cost more, but they handled all the pre-screening and background checks.  We also get backup care through the agency if our nanny is sick or otherwise takes the day off.  I wasn't comfortable using any of the public websites where anyone can put an ad.  I don't know if it was the area we're close to, but there were no quality candidates.

  • Local agencies are a good start. They take care of taxes that have to be pulled from the nanny's paycheck and go through background checks.
