My friends will probably be told to wait. I have a huge flucking family. (my extended [aunts uncles cousins] is over 100.) and quite a few work at the hospital I am giving birth at...
So I am assuming they will be there during the hospital stay. I don't think my friends will mind, but I do have one that I really hope is on vacation the first week because she lacks personal space even when sick

I didn't mind close family. Everyone else was kind of an annoying. I was trying to learn to BF and had to nurse every 2 hours and it seemed like I was always having to do that when a visitor came. It just made the situation more uncomfortable for me.
I think that's why I was so anti visitor with DS. I was working like hell to utilize the lactation consultants and make sure any latch issues were taken care of, plus I found being a new nursing mom hard! He wanted to nurse all. The. Time. So it was just easier on me being just me and DH.
I'm sure I will have visitors after giving birth as that's what my family does but, if it is time for my baby to eat and someone comes to visit they are going to have to wait outside till I'm done.
