Would it be horrible to add snaps?

I like my s'bish fitteds, but I'm having quite a time getting a snappi to hold them. I got them used so I don't have the pins, and I'm not a fan of trying to pin them on my kid anyway. Would it be a horrible thing (killing resale value) to add Kam snaps? I have pliers and plenty of white snaps. Or should I just sell those and buy ones with snaps?

The snappis work fine on everything else. They just slip off the sbish fitteds though. I've tried pressing down as I'm hooking them on to help them grip, but they just don't seem to catch. Sometimes I can get them to hold, but on a kicking, flipping over
