I found out 3 days ago that I am about 5 weeks pg. before I found out I was going tanning a couple days a week. I'm really scared that this could have had an effect on the baby. I obviously have not been since I found out.. Has anybody experienced this?

Just stating from what I read in my doctor's information pamplet, he said tanning throughout your pregnancy will not harm your baby just your own skin.

I was surprised to learn just how acceptable it is. I'm not comfortable with doing it, and I would side eye someone who does. If you shouldn't be in a spa because of over heating your core temp, I don't think one should be in a tanning bed. That and the w

I have also been seeing that it is okay to do. There is no way I will go while I'm pregnant, but I thought it was interesting. Will definitely talk to my OB about it at my first apt.

I think the issue is with over heating which can cause you to MC. You are probably fine but I would switch to spray tanning for the rest of your pregnancy.
