Sorelle Cape Cod Crib & Changer TODDLER RAIL?

I'm determined my DD thinks her crib is a jail.  Seriously.  Once she's asleep I put her in the crib and she flips out and won't sleep in it.  I'm convinced that if I take the front piece of the crib off and put the toddler rail on she'll be alright sleeping in the crib.  Since she's been co sleeping with my DH and I since last August.  Anyone have this crib?  And if so have you used the toddler rail from Sorelle or have you just bought the generic ones that slide under the mattress?
