How long did you wait beween kids?

Just visited my RE today (my LO is 3 months old) and she said she recommends waiting at least a year to a year and 3 months before trying again. This is fine with me, but just curious how long you all waited or are planning to wait before trying again.

My OB said it is not even on the table for one year (due to my c/s). However, my RE said we can't space children by more than two years. So, I suppose we will see what happens...

I'm guessing it probably changes based on your diagnosis?

We waited a little over a year to start treatments again. I wanted to BF for a year so I never asked about trying sooner.

Mine said give yourself 6 months to heal (vaginal delivery), then 'strike while the iron is hot!'  But that could have been said because of my endo and DOR diagnosis too.  Not sure.       </sp

I BF until LO was 14 months and didn't get AF until then. We went back for FET when she was 21 mos old. I'm glad I waited and had some time to myself where I wasn't nursing and wasn't pg.

The OB said to wait at least 6 months and the RE said come back whenever you are ready. The only stipulation the RE had was that I had to wean before taking any meds.

I haven't talk to my RE about it but my OB recommended waiting a year because of my c/s. I'm not on bc though.

We were planning on waiting until H was about 2 before heading back to the RE. DH asked me a week after H was born if I wanted to go back in a year. My OB didn't say anything about a timeline, even when I told her we probably won't be using birth control,

My RE said that he wanted us back in a year, when he kicked us out at 8w. I thought that was a bit aggressive (J will be 5mo). I just nodded and smiled. I want to BF for a year. We are also unexplained not not going back on bc. I'm thinking next March? J

I have my 6wk check up with my OB next week and plan on asking about a timeline then. I would happily wait at least a year to try but 8 months from now we will move across the country from our sperm and lose a lot of our health coverage so we want to try

I plan to wean when Grace is 7-8 months old. Then schedule an FET for February or March.

The space between our first three is two and a half years.  That wasn't picked by us, instead it was the result of when we were lucky to have a treatment cycle work and also lucky enough to not miscarry.

I think how long it is recommended you wait depends on your diagnosis and whether it gets worse with age/time.  I saw an RE a couple of weeks ago and he told me he would recommending starting to TTC right away even though my C-section scar isn't c

I would love to have another one.  Two years apart would be ideal but I turned 41 in October and time just isn't on our side. So with that being said J may be our only LO.  I just wish it didn't take us 3 years to get pg.
