Parenting after a Loss

Visiting family

I live about 3 hrs away from my family and am dying to see them. I'm alone a lot during the week because DH is in school full time and doesn't come home until after 9pm most nights. My question is, is it too early to make that trip? LO is 4 weeks today and won't get her shots until May 20th. Should I wait until after the vaccines? I'm just so ready to see my grandmother, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

And my Aunt is still doing chemo. Am I supposed to keep LO away from her for a while? I'm not sure how that works.

Re: Visiting family

  • Can't speak to your aunt's chemo, but we were out and about with DD at that age. We just asked folks to wash their hands before touching her, and tried not to let her get passed around *too* much.
