follow up - project management software recs?

per my post re organization methods below...

any recs for software that is not insanely expensive, easy for multiple users (web based perhaps to be able to access from anywhere), can be adapted to different fields & projects?

I work for an engineering company and we use Microsoft Project for everything. It has this whole yellow, red, green system and we report all of our status updates based on where we are in our project plan in MS project.

I found out today I have access to this... How's the learning curve? Also with multiple users it would be like any other doc where it would have to be accessed on a share drive right?

Just a word of advice to anyone looking to use new software at your organization.  Depending on policies, you might have to get approval to start using new software.  I know I have confidential information, so we cannot use cloud based or open s
