Wasp Sting/Bite PIP

image

So this is 3 days later. This happened Sunday... okay so 2 or 3 days depending on you count it.

Should I be worried?

Re: Wasp Sting/Bite PIP

  •  Ive been stung by many things specially a lot as a child and they would be red and sore for the first couple of hours and then fade. Maybe its a slight allergic reaction?

ETA: Do you have any other rash like spots on other parts of y

  • H just got stung and his looked like that until about day 5. He put an ice pack on it for swelling and cortisone when it itched.

Although, I'm not sure if that's what you are suppose to do.

  • It's a hypersensitivity, not really an allergic reaction. I get them too after bee/wasp stings. It looks worse than it is.

A little calamine lotion on it helps. Or some benedryl.

  • Did you get hives or have trouble breathing?  If the answer is no, then you are probably just having a normal reaction.

Take some Diphenhydramine and you should be fine.

  • Thanks guys. I was just worried it would be something bad because I'm supposed to get my depo tomorrow or Thursday. I should probably ask to see if there is any chance the venom might interfere with the bc just in case. Don't need a surprise baby.
  • Sheesh, that looks awful. I've never been stung by a wasp so I don't really have any proven tricks - but if you can get any actual aloe (like from a plant, not a bottle) that seems to clear up pretty much 100% of all skin irritations for me.
