Hi Everyone -
I just found this board and seems like there is a lot fo great advice and wonderful people on here. I am hoping you can give me some insight. I have partial placenta previa (at 33wks right now). I know the placenta can still move before my next MFM appointment, but am concerned about it not moving. My Dr. says they will schedule me for a C-section at 38 wks if my placenta does not move.
I have done some "reserach" and it always says that you will get a C-section due to the risk of bleeding. So my question(s) are:
*Do you ALWAYS have to get a c-section with placenta previa
*Do the doctors ever wait to see if you will actually start bleeding when you go into labor to decide if a c-section is needed?
*is my situation hopeless for a natural, med-free birth?
THANKS!!
Re: partial placenta previa - is C-section 100% necessary
Do you know whether there is overlap with the os? For example, 20mm of overlap covering of the os at 35 weeks requires a section, while no overlap and 0-20mm distance from the opening of the os are merely increased risk of section. In gener
