Anyone else experiencing flu-like symptoms? If so, what are you doing to make yourself feel at least semi-human? I've been pretty much bedridden for the past four days and I really would like to be able to get something productive done!

Three showers a day, lots of tea with honey, Vicks vapor rub on chest, feet and under nose (make sure your doc is okay with placement), Nettie pot. If it's nausea you're dealing with Hydrate Hydrate Hydrate. For the cough I did mucinex.

Edit: was cut off before finishing

  • I've had a terrible cold for a week now. Getting more and more anxious as my due date gets closer (11/1). I've tried the usual - lots of fluids, rest, etc. I've taken the last two days off work to try to recuperate as much as possible, but honestly not feeling much better. So anyway, I'll be interested to hear the suggestions of others as well!

The changing seasons definitely have me feeling less than my best.  This always happens to me when the air gets cooler and drier, though.  PPs have made excellent recommendations.
  • Soup with a LOT of tabasco sauce.  After a week of congestion, it finally cleared my head.

Just got hit with the stomach flu feels today.  I pretty much just slept all day and kept my food bland.

  • Chicken soup with lots of garlic.
If there's something strange underneath the hood.  Who you gonna call?  Your Doctor.  If there's something weird and it don't look good.  Who you gonna call?  Your Doctor.  Immediately.  If it's new, painful, and possibly pregnancy related get your ass off the internet and call your doctor.  It's for your health and your child's.

  • I too have been struggling with the sinus head junk. Hot showers hot apple cider and a cool mist humidifier in my room has helped a ton also been napping more than usual. My face still hurts but at least I don't want to hurt people anymore lol. Hope you feel better soon!

I was sick about a month ago. Breathe right strips were my life saver during the nights. I was able to breathe! I had the humidifier on with the menthol oil.
I also drank 2 cups of chamomile tea with half a lemon and honey.
    Hope you feel better soon.

Edit bc my fingers are too fat to type correctly.
  • I just ordered a bunch of essential oils after attending a party this weekend. While I can't speak to the effectiveness of them yet, the hostess, who I trust, swears by them. The company that I got mine through was Doterra, but you can get them at any health food store as well.

Some essential oils aren't supposed to be used during pregnancy, so be careful with those!  For anybody using essential oils, here's a helpful chart of pregnancy/nursing safe oils...
