Lo is a year old!

Time flies, lo turned ONE this week. A year ago he was going through so much in the nicu, and I was so worried about him, so many questions about the future. It took me a while to accept that things are not as we plan them but as God plans them and He takes care of us. Looking back I now God took care of us. I developed severe preeclampsia in a matter of days. I remember going to the dr on a Friday and having perfect BP, 3 days later I had a bad headache and DH took my BP at 10 pm and saw it was that high: 125/240. he rushed me to the hospital. If I had just gone to bed without my DH taking my BP, I don't know what could have happened. Also we didn't have a BP cuff, it arrived THAT day in the mail. LO was born next day at the beginning of week 31.

He is doing great now, having some small challenges but I'm so grateful he is growing healthy. One thing I learned is to appreciate everything so much more, so little things such as being able to change his diaper on a changing table vs the holes of an isolette.
