Cupcake/gender ?

If you made cupcakes with pink or blue filling in them--how did you do it?

Re: Cupcake/gender ?

  • I used Wilton's Gel Icing Color (you can get it at Michaels, AC Moore, Joann Fabrics etc). I made the batter and then used a toothpick to add a little bit of the gel (and mixed) until I got the color I wanted. Then baked them! :)

  • Yup... here are some pics (there is pink and blue b/c I made them before my appointment so I could just frost the right one and share with my ILs)

    Edit: for size

  • I made white cake cupcakes and tinted the batter pink.

I used foil liners so people couldn't see the top and I iced with TONS on white icing and Christmas sprinkles since I told just before Christmas break.

  • You could bake a simple white cupcake and make a delicious colored cream and then use a syringe to inject them. That's what they do on cupcake wars. I think they cut out just a bit of the middle of the cupcake and then frost the top. Good luck with whatever you decide!

  • I work at Michaels and we sell this awesome thing just for decorating cupcakes by Wilton. Its the called the 12 piece Cupcake decorating set. It has a filling tip and you will just need to get a coupler for it. :) To tint the frosting, there are wilton gels that you can add to white frosting. If you need anymore help you can PM me. I took all the classes on cake decorating (I had to). Good luck!
