Considering a water birth

Hi everyone,

I am seeing a midwife, who I adore and she is currently having a freestanding birth center built, as in it is not affiliated with a hospital. It will be done well in time for me to deliver there. There will be tubs there, for both labor and birthing.

I'm curious to hear from anyone who has done a water birth before to hear how they liked it. The idea of it is intriguing to me.

  • Loved, loved, loved it!!  My friend who was with us said, "it sounded like they gave you drugs" when I went in the tub.  The big tub allowed me to be buoyant and move my (rather large) body around freely.  I was able to easily roc

  • Do it! The warm water was so fantastic on the muscles. I actually didn't want to get out of the tub the whole time I was at my birth home (aprox. 6 1/2 hours).

  • Waterbirth is my plan. I actually just found this dress/cover up made with swim-suit material at TJ Maxx. It is long, but I shortened it.

    I know a lot of women go naked and I may not care in the end, but I wanted to have something to cove

  • I have had three water births at a free standing birth center and absolutely loved each one !!! I highly recommend them. The waters amazing and very relaxing . They don't call it the midwifes epidural for nothing. I honestly wouldn't have birth any other
