School me on wool-what do I need?

So, I was gifted some wool, but it needs to be lanolized.  I'm confused on what I NEED to do this.  I've seen some how-to's and they are all use different products.  So I need a wash and lanolin...anything else?

  • I have CJ's wash and liquid lanolin. I am thinking of seeing if I could switch to something like Dr. Bronners for the soap part though. However, to lanolize I take the a tiny tupperware container (for like dips), put hot water in it, some soap, and liquid

  • Wash it with soap. If it's interlock how you do that is a lot more flexible than if it's knit.

Lanolize it with Lansinoh and a dab of soap. Melt the lanolin in water. Emulsify with a dab of soap. Mix with warm not hot water. Soak. Dry.
