organize!

Hey everyone... I need advice!

I am a single mom and my son goes back and forth between me and his father.  We live in a smaller sized 2 bedroom apartment where my son has his own room.  Anyways Iwas wanting to know if you have any good tips on organzing this toys?  I  was hoping for tips that are easy for him to get the toys out but not where they are everywhere taking up all the room?  I dont have type of book shelf or anything and most of his toys are in the living room where we spend most of our time!  He only has a few in his room.. tips please?  OH BTW  hes got a lot of toys!

I use an ikea expedit 2x4 horizontally on the ground. I have some baskets and some open shelves.

We have an Expedit from Ikea.  We use 4 larger Pluggis Recycling Bins.
