Good 36 Week Appt

I just wanted to share this, it really made me happy.

I see several different OBs and CNMs at the hospital where I will be delivering. I mostly try to stick with one of the CNMs in particular, so I don't know the other one too well. I saw the other one this week and she commented about how uneventful my pregnancy has been. I mentioned that I wanted to go natural and had joked about wanting a home birth to my dh for the record, I would love a home birth, but there are no options for that where I live. Anyway, she brightened right up and told me this story. She wanted to vbac at home after her first child, which was a c section. Her provider wouldn't allow her until after she had a successful vbac in a hospital. So she did, and then went on to have her last 2 babies at home!

Basically I just felt really encouraged and that maybe I won't be totally bullied out of my plans for going natural. And I think I have a new favorite midwife!

    I thought it was usually the other way around. Natural moms try to bully med ladies!

    I guess it goes both ways. I don't judge, to each their own... A healthy baby is all anyone really wants, in the end. :
