Help! Poop on wool cover...

DD hasn't pooped at night in like 8 weeks... then 2 nights ago, HUGE amount of poop.  Enough to come out one of the leg holes of the fitted she was in.  I've soaked it in 3 sinks with wool wash since then, and I've tried to scrub at it a bit, but I don't want to hurt the wool!  What do I do?  I can't tell if it's clean because it's yellow breastfed baby poop and will probably need to be sunned to be totally gone... Do I just re-lanolize and use it if it doesn't smell like poop?  Any tips for washing it out?
