DS may or may not have ingested Advil PM

Hi..former poster and sometimes lurker here.

My 17month old son may or may not have ingested unknown quantities of Advil PM.  I have no idea if he ate 1 or 20 or none.  He just came running up to me and handed me one.  I've found 3 more on the floor/under the couch.  We had a house full of guests for the Holiday weekend so I'm sure this was left behind from one of them.

I've called poison control & our pedi - they have in a 'wait and see' holding pattern right now but she did tell me that he may start to act "weird".  Does anyone what she means?  I mean, other than the sleepiness? I'd google but I'm barely holding it together as I type this so I'd rather not completely freak myself out...

TIA

I read your post wrong the first time, sorry. People who take too much Advil PM say they have weird sensations and even hallucinations. So says my drug book.

  •  Thank you!

Poison control was great and called back every hour to see how things were going. I really don't think that he ate any of them.

They will continue to call for the next few hours, though.

It's not like me to frea

  • Hope your DS ended up being fine. That would be pretty scary.
