Donovan Don, Donnie

We are due on my Grandfather's birthday, his name was Donald.

He passed away last year we were very close.

Donovan has floated in the back of my mind as an option.

Not sure about the NN of Don or Donnie.

I love the sentiment but I don't like the name, and I really don't like the nicknames. I would just use Donald as the middle name if possible. Or what was your grandpa's middle name? Do you like that?

I went to school with a Donovan and he didn't have a nn. Though his brother's gf did call him DonDon the BonBon. He hated that...haha

I grew up with a Donovan. He never went by a nn derived from Donovan. I don't think it needs a nn but Vin/Vinnie isn't terrible.

Victor is also nice.
