Update: 39 Week Appt

Normally I would do this on our weekly thread, but I'm not sure I'll make to Monday? 
So....... had my 39wk today (technically 38w5d). At age 40, they've been doing U/S for the last few appts to check fluid, breathing etc. in addition to internals and monitoring. I am steadily building in my contractions and am 1 cm dilated and 80% effaced. So, when I said I felt like I was sitting on the poor kid's head- I am! LOL!
Nate is lookin' good, breathing steadily, organs etc. all healthy. My original EDD was 4/6, but we decided today that if he doesn't come by next Friday, we will induce on Fri 4/5 b/c I really don't want to go over. And to be honest, it's nice to know if we do this on 4/5, my doc (who I think is fantastic!) will be the one to deliver. Induction is not my first choice, but it's amazing how having a target date took a weight off.
So, there it is- Mr. Nate will be here now in 8 days or less!
