WWYD? Advice needed!

Hey Ladies! I am in a bind and am coming to the experts for advice. The background of my story is that we are MFI due to vericocele. When we were first diagnosed, the docs said to hold off on surgery, as they were pretty confident IVF would bypass the issue. Well, here we are two chemical pregnancies later, and now it's time for DH to go under the knife to hopefully improve his sperm quality. After our WTF, we went through the RPL panel of tests, and all the results came back normal. We are very happy we don't have another diagnosis added to the one we already have. We also decided with the doc that we were going to do one more fresh cycle and have any good embryos from that plus our two frozen ones sent out for pgd testing. At the time, this seemed like a good idea, but now we are not so sure there is a point. We are pretty sure another cycle is going to end just like the last two. Part of me feels like we have one more shot to do a cycle now, since we will have to then wait about 6 months after DH's surgery to try again. But the more realistic side of me knows it will most likely not end well. So what's the point? I am worried that if we don't do the cycle, I will always wonder "what if?" I am also worried that by the time they finally "fix" him, my aging eggs will be a bust, but I have no control over that. Ugh!!! I hate IF!!! 

So, WWYD?

1. Go through another fresh cycle with transfer and hope this time works?

2.  Do the fresh cycle and have fresh and frozen embryos tested? I believe this is like $6,000. Yikes!  Go through with transfer if any come back normal. If none are normal, I won't have to go through the dreaded 2ww. 

3. Hold off and wait 6 months to try again after DH's vericocele surgery when we have better quality sperm? But my egg quality could be declining by the second. 

If only there was a crystal bal!!! 

Oh, and AF should be arriving today or tomorrow, and then I am supposed to start stims, so we have to make a decision ASAP!

My RE does not recommend PGD testing unless you are a known carrier of a specific disease - i.e. CF or Tay-Sachs. Unless they're testing for something very specific, PGD doesn't really increase your chances (so the studies say). You end up losing some

This is a personal decision, and you're going to have to make the best choice for you and DH to live with. With that being said, you asked for opinions. Here is mine:

For ME, I would not do #1. I would feel SOME kind of change needs to be made. #

I'd go with option 2 - the PGD will give you much more info on the health of your embryos, and perhaps the past two transfers have been unhealthy embryos genetically or chromosomally.

Thanks for your responses! We have a lot of decision making to do this weekend. I wish there was an easy answer, but there just never is in the land of IF. Ugh!
