How soon is too soon for a baby shower?

I have to agree with cranag. Being pregnant at this stage is really exciting but there's still time for things to go wrong, sadly...

My last shower was at 35 or 36 weeks. DS made an early arrival at 38 weeks yet I still had everything washed

I think the best part about being pregnant again is being able to come back to these boards and read stuff like this. My 6 week old baby has some great timing!

Please remember that you are not in charge of dictating when your shower is going to be - that's up to the hosts.  If someone offers, you can let them know that you'd prefer to have it earlier, but otherwise you shouldn't mention it.
