half marathon done but not forgotten

I have been battling the stomach bug all weekend and it reared it's ugly face big time about mile 9. I made it to the side of the road and the bushes everytime thank God. I called DH at mile 11 crying bc I didn't know if I could finish. I ran/walked the last 2 miles but I finished. I didn't make the time I wanted but it was only 5min slower than my last one so not horrible. I feel like crap today and I'm walking like an old lady. It maybe a while before I sign up for another race, I had several moments I am not proud of yesterday.

On man! Sorry you got sick! But yes, remember that there are SO many people who would never attempt one. And at least you were puking in bushes and not shiiting your shorts like marathon runners.....

I can't tell you how happy I am that my sickness came out in the form of puking bc I was scared about pooping myself.

Wow!  I wouldn't be able to do a half marathon well!  You should be very proud of yourself for still going even while sick!

You have no idea how impressed I am that you finished. I couldn't do a half under the best circumstances but you did it sick. You are Superwoman!

Great job finishing the race! Finishing is all that counts, especially when you are sick! Way to go!
