Hello,

I have intro'd and lurked over on the TTGP board since November or so because DH and I weren't planning on starting to TTC till at least May.

I have been charting my BBT and using OPKs and this cycle we decided to use my chart to TTA by BD'ing way before ovulation and after.

As you can see in my chart in my siggy, we BD'd 7 days before FF gave me CH and 5 days after.
I decided to take a test this morning due to high temps (usually I get at least one temp dip indicating AF was on its way) and the test was POSITIVE!

Now I am excited but scared and nervous to tell my husband because I know he is not ready and that he trusted me to know when it was safe to BD.

I need advice on how to tell him and how BD'ing 7 days before FF gave me CH wasn't safe? I thought sperm only lived for about 3 days in the vagina?

Oh and I did check the test in the right time frame since I know someone will ask

Just tell him. At this point there isn't a lot you can do. I am sure he will be surprised at first, but if you were planning to start in May what is 2 months early.

I'd just tell him. He might be shocked, but I don't see how. Unprotected sex is always a gamble.

Question though: if you were TTA until May, and didn't want to TTC until then, why weren't you using more than one form of birth control?

First of all Congrats!!! I'll bet he is happy buy him a coffee mug that says "worlds best dad" or a onsie with his favorite band or sports team. Hard to get mad about that!!!

Also- I love ree drummond the pioneer woman.  I think she's responsible for me gaining like 4 pounds.
