Experiences with Restoration Hardware Baby?

Does anyone have any experiences with getting nursery stuff from Restoration Hardware Baby and Child?  I like a lot of their stuff but it's online-only -- not in stores.  I'm curious whether you were happy with quality (softness of sheets, how well everything held up, whether the 100 things that all say they're "cloud blue" are actually the same color, etc.)  Also, I read some really negative things online about their customer service, but the newest complaint was from 2008 so I'm wondering if things have changed in the last couple of years.  Any input would be much appreciated!

One of my best friends and I both bought our baby things there. She bought her crib set, lamp, hamper, etc., and I bought our whole nursery furniture set. Both of us had great experiences. In my case, some of the furniture was backordered. I was notified promptly and got it within the modified timeframe. Just my experience!

My sister in law had a bad experience with their customer service in 2009. In the end everything worked out but it was like 4 months of issues with them- they sent 2 cribs that were damaged and then when she finally got a good one the guy had no idea how to put it together. They took forever to send someone out who knew how to put the crib together- baby came about a week early and the guy showed up to put the crib together the day after she was born (they originally ordered the crib about 5 months in advance). She only ordered furniture through them (crib and dresser)and in my opinion the quality is good but I've also seen better on some less expensive brands. I've heard great things about the bedding though!

My whole nursery (virtually) is RH, I've had no problems with them. When I ordered my crib 1/2 price it said it would take 8 weeks. I had no problems with that, still had plenty of time to get it. White glove delivery service for a crib that costs the same (or less) than BRU. Quality is beautiful.

I ordered my crib set, mobile, several bathroom items and lots of baby clothes on sale from them a few months ago and was very pleased with their customer service. They do update you about back orders (I think I got several phone calls when the comforter was going to come in later than the website said when I originally placed the order). I wish you could return items in their store though. Check out their clearance/sale section for some great deals.

My entire nursery is from there and I couldn't be happier.  I feel that the furniture, while expensive, is great quality and looks better than any other furniture I have seen. Most bedding/ decor items I have are in the petal color and while there is a little variation in color, it isn't too noticable. I did find the cuddle plush bumper to be a little too thick and seemed dangerous to use in crib with all the bumper controversy.  I haven't had any issues with customer service, and when I do need to return items they just have me put in a box, leave at my front door the next day, and UPS comes to label/ ship back with no charge. I have been very happy so far (my baby is 1 1/2 weeks late so I haven't been able to use anything yet).

I was wondering if anyone has had experience with the RH Moses Basket and rocking stand.  I ordered for our bedroom for the early weeks and while it looks adorable I want to make sure it is safe?

I ordered our bedding from them and even though some pieces were backordered (shipped separately), it wasn't really a problem.  Customer service was great, explained everything to me, and we had the rest of the bedding a week later.

This is what happened to us. All of our bedding is from there. It was back ordered and took a little longer than expected, but customer service was great and always kept me informed. I love the quality.

We have a RH outlet here in GA and they do carry baby stuff and so far, I have been really impressed with the quality.  We were planning on getting our bedding from here, but in the end, I decided to save some cash and just go with the super soft minky stuff from Carters :-)  Still planning to buy a few accessories from here though with my registry completion.  My only complaint is that the outlet has a TON of boy stuff (the silver sage and cloud blue) but not much of the pink :-(  So if you are looking for one of those colors, you might want to try to find an outlet and see if they have some.  If nothing else, you could check out the quality in person.

We also did out entire nursery in cloud blue.  I was on hospitalized bedrest and then had baby in NICU and had no time to mess around with picking out stuff so I am forever grateful to this store/site.  We did the walls in cloud blue (our painter said the quality of the paint was amazing), all our bedding, window treatments (I love ours - they are the heavy canvas ones with the brown border- amazing heavy quality), changing cover, lamps, nightlight, wall hooks, throw pillows, baskets and more.  Some of the cloud blue is a tiny shade different but it complements the other and I no longer notice.  For the most part it is identical.

I returned everything that the color was off...For the curtains, our valance was a different shade then the panels. I spoke to a supervisor who made sure the person was looking at what they were pulling off the shelf, and problem solved

The outlet by me (Wrentham, MA) carries baby bedding and furniture.  That may be an option for you - to see things in person.

All of our bedding/accessories are from there and the quality is far superior to anything that I've found in-store(PBK, BRU, etc).  Customer service was actually great to work with, however, dealing with their back-orders or ordering something only to find out 2 weeks later they oversold was extremely annoying.  We went with cloud blue and love the color, I've read that the RH paint  color does not match up so we went with a BM color instead. It was well worth the extra $$ spent on quality products.
