i have a 28.7 oz can of enfamil lipil, unopened, that we can't use anymore. i bought it at walmart but can't remember if i have a receipt. do you think they'll take it? have any of you ever returned formula?
If it's unopened, they'll give you store credit or let you even-exchange it for the brand you need. I had to do that with my oldest - my dad was trying to be nice and brought over a can of Similac and a package of diapers once. We used Enfamil. Wal-Mart let me trade it for Enfamil. No questions asked.
Legally I don't believe they can accept formula returns. When I worked there, we could not. I would not want to buy formula that god-knows-who had in their home and did who knows what to it (it would not be that hard to replace the formula with something else, or to taint or poison it in some way). I know the grocery stores I have worked at do not accept formula as returns either.
They will not accept formula back without a receipt. I tried to take back a couple of unopened cans of formula and they told me they could not without a receipt.
