So I'm doing some research on "rooming in" options. I'm not sure that bedsharing will be right for us, but I plan to EBF, so having baby in our room for at least the first few months will be ideal.
The way our bedroom layout is, I can really only see a bed-attached co-sleeper, Rock-n-Play or Pack-n-Play fitting in the "L" portion of our slightly L-shaped bedroom. We have a king-sized bed and no matter how much I think about rearranging the room, I really don't think there is anywhere to put baby, but in this little alcove.
The problem is, the 2 windows that are located in our room are in this area (1 on each wall) and the area is only about 3 ft.x 6 ft. x 3 ft. The 3rd wall has the door to our attic. We do have heavy-duty curtains with black-out liners. The windows close tightly and I can't feel any draft. We would also put up some sort of draft barrier plastic and or draft guards. Anyway, even though I don't feel a draft, I would imagine that this would be the coldest area of our room and baby is due on 9/30 - we live in PA, so cold winters!
Anway, what are everyone's thoughts? Do you think this is a no-go, or would be ok? Should I just take the temperature of this area compared to the rest of the room?
Note: Baby/whatever baby is sleeping in would not be directly against window or within grabbing distance of curtains (we plan to have baby in own room by that "mobile" stage anyway)
