DD screamed and cried from the moment she got up until she got into the car to go to daycare. She's clingy. She wants to be held. If someone isn't holding her, she screams. We couldn't hold her while we were getting ready for work, so she screamed the whole morning. My head is killing me.
Of course, the drama also led to bickering between me and DH. He thinks she's spoiled because I hold her too much. I go crazy trying to figure out if she's sick or teething or hurt or if she's just emotionally scarred because I work full time and she feels like she has to suck every single second of "mommy time" that she can before she gets dumped at daycare. And then I hold her. I hold her while I get dressed. I hold her while I eat. I hold her while I cook (unless its too dangerous). And if I don't hold her she screams like she's being tortured. Should I hold her? Should I put her down and let her scream? Should I refill my Xanax Rx?
I feel like crap. I was an hour late to work this morning. I'm having my period. I want to sprinkle sugar on everything and eat it and then go back to sleep.
Sorry for the whiny whinefest. If anyone has advice as to how much a toddler should be held, I want to hear it STAT.
Re: Bad morning
N gets just like that when she's teething. It's like the world is ending if I put her down. I put her down sometimes and sometimes I just hold her. I'm sure you're not doing anything wrong and she's just teething or feeling extra clingy. Give her all t
DH and I have been using the divide and conquer technique. DD1 varies from day to day as to which one of us she's attached too and we just roll with it.

I'm sorry you're having a bad day. My DD becomes super needy/clingy at times as well. She won't even let me sit and hold her. When I do, she arches back until I stand. I try getting down on the floor with her, which has mixed results. Usually when I fi
