And, my name change went into effect
Anyway.. took DS back to the peds.. she started him on antibiotics. She said it looks like the cold has morphed into a sinus infection, based on the fact that his sinuses were so incredibly swollen. He also had swelling and reddness in his one ear, but she had difficulty saying for sure if there was a definite infection as his ear canals are really tiny.. apparently he has small ear canals, because this is like the 3rd time we've been told that it's difficult to see in his ears! He was treated once before for an ear infection around 2 months old but that Dr also said she couldn't say for absolute sure because she couldn't see very well since they're so small..
Anyway.. we're also continuing the breathing treatments.. his pulse ox levels have been good.. and, she said his breathing sounded pretty good, but that she wants to keep up with the nebulizer treatments just to help loosen up this cough, since it's gotten really tight.
The doctor said we should see a marked improvement in 24-48 hours and if not to bring him back........ dear Godssssss I pray for improvement!! For his sake, and for DH and mine!! We are all so exhausted.. and, tired, sick, pregnant Momma = super hormonal Momma!!
Thanks for all the well wishes!! I really, really hope we're approaching the end to all of this!

My Blog
Haha -- yea
I've been wanting to change it for a while, and actually just contemplated creating a new name, but a week or 2 ago MartiniMomma had posted about getting her name changed and it really got me thinking.. I was not very smart -- my old "screen name" was also my yahoo email which was also the email that was linked to my post college resume, which is the resume that is initially on file at work LOL, so I've been wanting to change it for that reason.. especially because I often talk about the bump at work, and just.. didn't want anyone putting 2 and 2 together
ETA: And, thanks!! I really hope he'll sleep better tonight.. it makes sense now why the nights we gave him motrin have helped him sleep a bit better.. I thought maybe teething pain (as you mentioned your DS is having), but I couldn't see anything really at the surface.. ped agreed, that she doesn't see anything ready to break through either, and that it's most likely ear pain which is why he's been waking up screaming every. single. hour. every. single. night. We all need some rest!! I'll take another few sleepless nights, though, if that means DS is gonna kick this thing for good!! This cold has been the devil!!
Thank you!!!
