Baby Showers

Hostess Gift: Which Would You Prefer to Receive?

I have 7 ladies (cute fun girls between 31-37) throwing my baby shower. I'm trying to finalize my hostess gifts for them, which I want to be something that won't break the bank, but also something they will actually use and enjoy.

I had customized gift tags made for all of them, which I think are great because you can add a personalized touch to a bottle of wine or any other type of gift you may be bringing someone. What I need help with is what to coordinate the tags with. Here are my thoughts:

  1. Anthropologie mug with their initial on it. Inside the mug I was going to put an herb plant, wrap it in cellophane bag with a red bow and attach the gift tags
  2. Anthropologie mug with their initial on it. Another option would be to put a few tea bags and chocolates inside the mug. Wrap it in cellophane bag with a red bow and attach the gift tags
  3. Bottle of wine/prosecco wrapped in a red and white cotton napkin with the customized gift tags I had made for them tied around it.

I would love to hear what you'd like to receive.

  • If you know they all enjoy wine, #3 for sure!  If not, #2....#1 sounds cute and I always think I'm going to be all Martha Stewart when someone give me a plant, then it just dies.  Tea and chocolate will not go to waste!

  • A mug with chocolate!
  • #3 for sure if you know the type of wine they like. #2 if you are not sure.

  • Do they have to all be the same?  You know these women - we don't.  If you know a couple would like chocolate over wine, or vice versa, or someone is an avid gardner.... give each of those gifts to the appropriate person.

My  point- I don't think the gifts have to be identical.

I agree with this.  They're all cute ideas, though!  I think I'd prefer #3 myself.
