I've done some research and it looks like only four states offer some form of a tax break for elementary tuition. For those of you who pay tuition for your child, do you get to use it as a tax deduction?
No I do not. But look into a Coverdell ESA. The contributions are tax deductible and you can use the money in the plan to pay for school tuition. There are income limits to be eligible for a Coverdell so you will need to check if you qualify.
The only tuition I pay for is full day kindy and no I can't claim that for tax purposes but I can claim the before care and school release fees as those are daycare so I still get my tax break as long as my kids use that program.
