i dont know what to do or say: warning, death mentioned

DH just went to check on his uncle.
He was an older man, who relied on DH and FIL for everything.
They haven't heard from him in two weeks which was strange. He wouldn't answer the phone either. So DH went to check on him... And found him dead.
I can't even imagine what its like to actually see that. The paramedics and police are coming, as well as MIL and FIL.
The only thing I can really say is I'm sorry and oh sh!t...... That's crazy... Is there anything else I can say to maybe help him cope with this experience?
