I recently came across the name Amie, pronounced "Ahmee" and found it interesting. I prefer it to Amy and like that it has the two syllables but different accent.
I think if you like Allison Marie, I would consider Allison Amie.

I think DH and I are going with Allison Marie.  Allison is in memory of DH's great grandma.  Marie is actually my sister's mn.... so  the name will have come from both sides!  : )
