Evening Primrose Oil and cramping?

Any of you ladies that have taken/are currently taking EPO (orally) experience menstrual-like cramping? My only thoughts towards this is that (maybe??) it's actually softening the cervix and prepping things down there? Sometimes the cramping radiates towards my back, but after awhile it just stops until I take the next dose. 

 

Thoughts?

    I've been taking 3000 mg orally daily and I haven't had any cramping at all. Maybe it's baby time for you.

    I've been using it vaginally for 3w and find I cramp more in the hour or so after I insert it.  However, I was 70% effaced & 2cm at my 38w appointment & there was no change today at my 39w. Bummer.
