I'm new.....

Hi Ladies,

 

I am 31 years old and have a 7 year old daughter. I have been trying to get pregnant for the past 4 years. I have a history of ovarian cysts and endometriosis...but right now according to my last surgery i am cyst and endo free!!

I have tried many cycles of clomid and many of letrozole but no luck with either.

I finally went to a specialist who said to try IUI....i went for my first appointment with the Dr. last friday and they made me go back in this Tuesday for an ultrasound to see what size my follicles were.  The dr decided that he wants me to go back in tomorrow to see if they have grown to the right size...18mm+ so that i can trigger and have my first IUI,

I am new to this and have very mixed feelings...i don't know if we should have gone with the original plan which was wait till my next cycle in March and do the first IUI using both Letrozole and the trigger shot or just try it this month using only the shot....

I am a positive thinker but cannot even imagine how i am going to feel if the IUI fails...anyways i just wanted to introduce myself !!

    First pregnancy - DS 01-Apr-09;
    3rd cycle Clomid/IUI after 2 years TTC
    TTC #2 since ~June 2010
    IUI #1 & 2 - Clomid/IUI - BFN
    IUI #3 &4 - Gonal-F/Ovidrel and IUI -- BFN
    IUI #5 - Gonal-F/Ovidrel and IUI -- BFP!!
    EDD: March 22, 2013
    It's triplets!!

    If you ovulate on your own they probably would have tried an IUI cycle unmedicated first, so just be glad they could do it right away.  Sounds like everything is going well - best of luck on your IUI.

    DD conceived after 3 years of ttc.
    MFI - DH had varicocele repair and took Clomid to get DD b. 02/2010

    TTC #2 since 6/2010
    10/2012 DH diagnosed with Epilepsy
    A few failed IUIs summer 2012 and 2013. 
    DH taking clomid and waiting to see if he needs another vericocele repair. 
    Hoping for a 2015 baby or babies. 
    Wishing, hoping, waiting.

    I always hope for as little medication as possible. Hopefully the unmedicated IUI does the trick for you.

    1 month of Letrozole, 3 IUI's with Letrozole, All BFN. 1 canceled IVF cycle, BFN.


    May 2013 IVF w/ICSI #1.5: Start BCP 5/8 2 pills a day. Suppression Ultrasound 5/29. Begin Dexamethasone & Lupron Microdose 5/31. Started Gonal F and Menopur 6/2.


    ER 6/12 13R,9M,8F.


    5DT CANCELLED due to moderate OHSS


    5DT UNcancelled due to embryos not being capable of cryopreservation


    Transfered 2 "poor quality" embryo's on 6/17

    No frozen embryos.


    Beta #1 6/25 6. Chemical Pregnancy confirmed. Beta #2 6/28 -1
