Those who CD

I'm thinking about it. I was looking at Charlie Banana CDs. I saw some at target and it looks like they can have disposable liners or washable liners

My Q is do you know anything about these? Is it worth it to start this late?

  • I don't think it's too late to start at all. I am still buying new cloth diapers for Ava. It becomes almost an addiction! I prefer the washable liners over the disposable ones. I tried the disposable ones but they were not nearly as absorbent as the cloth. The laundry doesn't bother me at all.

  • About half our stash is Charlie Banana one size pocket diapers. I really like how trim they are. I think our daycare prefers the Bumgenius pockets bc they don't have a crossover snap. I find the leg adjustment on the Charlie banana a little difficult at times but I like how they fit mirabelle. We also use prefolds/covers. There's a series of 7 videos on YouTube under cloth diapering 101 that really explains the different types.

  • If you are not sure you could see if there is a diaper service in your area. We use one, and they trade us clean for dirty diapers and wipes weekly, it's great. We use prefolds with mommys touch Velcro one size covers.
