I know it's still really early for me but I'm a crazy planner. My DS will be 2 1/2 when the next baby is born. Do I get a double stroller? I have the city mini now and love it but don't know if it would be a waste. Are there any you recommend?
I'm 27 weeks pg and I'm planning to get one. My first LO hated being worn so he was an all-stroller baby. I'm planning for this one to be the same way.
I have he city mini double. It is a great stroller and I recommend it. It's one of the lighter double strollers on the market, it's easy to fold and easy to maneuver. The only thing I don't like is the basket - it's not that big and it's difficult to get stuff in and out.
That said, my DS was 2.5 when DD was born and although the city mini is a fantastic double stroller, it was a waste of money. When I bought the stroller DS was still sitting in the stroller all of the time so I thought we would get a lot of use out of it. However, as DS got closer to 3 he didn't want to be in a stroller and wanted to walk everywhere. I only used the double the first 3 months after DD was born because DS wanted to walk. We still use the double if we are going on an all day trip to the zoo or an amusement park but other than that it mostly sits in the garage. We take our single stroller for DD most days.
Because of the age difference, if I had to do it again, I would have gotten a less expensive double stroller for occasional use. Just something to think about.
I have the joovy ultralight stand on, double stroller and I think it is great for 2 to 3 year olds who like to ride sometimes, walk sometimes and stand sometimes. I keep it in my car and use it almost everyday.
I also have a city mini double that I use for longer walks and all day trips to the zoo or fair. I don't use this stroller very often.
I got the City Mini double when my oldest was 2.5 and she sat it in all the time. It os great to have a actual second seat for when they are tired and want to rest.
