Diaper changing woes

Dd figured out how to undo the diaper tabs! It's a fight against a wiggling, rolling baby and now a race against dd undoing the fresh diaper. My Sil puts her dd on the floor and pins her arms down with her legs to do a change. I think I might need to adopt that methodology now! Crazy dd!

Could you give her something to hold during diaper changes maybe? I let DS hold butt paste, lotion, teething gel tube, basically anything that's not a toy during a diaper change and it helps a lot with the wiggles! Good luck!

This is what I do with DS now. I feel your pain. Changing a diaper these days is similar to a wrestling match.

I'll have to try that out.  Toys use to work but now she drops the toy to mess with her diaper.  Maybe non toys will distract her long enough.

Same here - though DS has lost interest in both toys, non-toys, and a musical book that used to keep him entranced. Now, DH holds his shoulders and chest down while I race to get him changed. I have no idea how they do it all day at DC . . . I should ask what tricks they use, since they're changing his diaper far more during the week than I am.

I am with you! Toys, non-toys, nothing works anymore! I hate wrestling a screaming child trying to keep him from sitting his naked, poopy butt down. I'm always having to clean his legs, the changing table, and anything else he smears....

Wrestling match indeed! I have found the DS will lay somewhat still if the TV is on.

If it's not a poop change I let DD stand on the floor holding onto the changing table. I visited this Montessori daycare where they make all babies old enough to stand do a stand-up change, which is where I got the idea. She does try to sit and crawl away, but at least it eliminates the screaming.
