I almost bought them last night, but wasn't sure if they were what I'd read about. I ended up buying orajel naturals instead. Not sure really how natural it is! We were in a pinch and needed relief fast and I knew more about orajel so that's what we ended up with.

I know a ton of people that swear by them. That being said they didn't help DS ... Nothing helped him except Tylenol but he would also cut 3-4 teeth at one time.
So far, they're not doing much for DD. We've only tried a couple times though.
Side note, our pedi recommended NOT using Orajel. It only numbs the pain for a few seconds to a few minutes, then it comes back with a vengance. All it does is confuse the baby and make her mad. She recommended Motrin, or the tabs if they work.

They work for instant relief. The relief isn't long lived. It's just long enough for me to get LO interested in something else. What I do is with a little formula or water on the end of my finger I place the tablet and rub it directly on LO gums. One tablet for the bottom, one for the top. They disolve instantly.
I break my teething tablets up and rub the powder on his gums. Helps him a lot. If he needs more I use Tylenol. I've only really heard bad things about oragel. I've even read it can cause the back of mouth to numb if your not careful, and then cause swallowing issues and possible choking.
I was in the drug store today and the Oragel package said not recommended for children under the age of 2. I have also heard bad things. My friend tried it on herself first and said her whole mouth went numb.
A friend of mine let me on the secret of the tabs with my 2nd baby.. I love them! so i say give them a try and if they dont work then try something else!
I know people swear by these since they are all-natural and that many, many people use them without any issues but they scare me a bit because one of the active ingredients is belladonna. And belladonna is basically a poison and can be dangerous if taken by mouth. I realize it's trace amounts but heck, I'm not really willing to risk it with my baby.
Humphreys teething strips were taken off the market for this exact reason a while ago and Hylands even had a recall for the same reason and the fluctuations of the amount of belladonna in their products. Obviously they are back in the market after some changes were made but I'm still a worrier and wouldn't use them due to the belladonna.
To each his own honestly.. and if you're ok with it, and they work for you great... but I like to be informed so I can make my own decisions so I thought I'd share.
Re: Hylands tablets
I have heard of them- a couple of my friends swears by them... as soon as DD starts teething I am going to pick some up!
