I'm ready to get back in shape but I have little motivation....the thing is that its really important for me to work out because I've had pretty bad anxiety in the past and exercise is one of the things that keeps it in check. I don't have ppd or other issues right now and I want to keep it that way.
What is your fitness/health "routine" or goals? Favorite way to stay in shape? What obstacles do you face? Any tips?

I know I can't wait for the warmer weather! That will make things a lot easier to get out walking with DS. It has been freezing! Congrats on the 30 pound loss! I also gained after each one of my m/c so I'd like to lose about 15-20 pounds.

I just started working out again. It was not exactly on purpose. I just needed to get out of the house and away from DD for my sanity, and I figured the gym would give me a release.
I had gotten into jogging before all the TTCAL insanity, and was going to do that again, but there happened to be a zumba class starting at the time I got to the gym. It pushed me harder than I would've pushed myself, so I decided to do that twice a week, at least until I get my self motivation back.
The big thing I always have to remember is that working out doesn't produce physical changes for me. For example, I worked out with a trainer five days a week and followed a strict diet and only lost 10 pounds in a year. And I was still 180 lbs, so there was plenty more to lose. For me, working out is to get a release and feel more "in shape," it's not about what I look like. Of course, now that the RE figured out I have wacky metabolic issues, and I'm on meds, there may be a chance of seeing results, but I'm not holding my breath.
In terms of tips, I would say start with something you find fun or relaxing, like a class or running, or whatever floats your boat. It would also help to have a specific day and time set, so you can't just push it around and say you'll do it later. A class or workout partner helps with the accountability. GL!
My goal is to do Zumba for an hour twice a week. I need to do a fun class, or I completely lose motivation. I will never be the person that can hop solo on a treadmill.
The obstacle is that since I work 4 days a week, I want to be around DD during all of my free time so it is hard to break away.
I overcome it by realizing working out is increasing my longevity which will give me more time with her in the long run.
I don't always succeed, but I also don't beat myself up either.

I go to a Zumba class 2 times a week after work and I love it. I want to add in using my treadmill but my biggest obstacle is time. When I am home I have 1001 things to do and by the time I get to "me time" I'm exhausted. =(
I so cannot wait until this cold Northeast weather goes away. I've had enough cabin fever to last until DS is 18. Seriously. The kid needs to be outdoors. I also bought a new stroller I can't wait to try out with DD.
I have free access to a small gym at work (in a school) so I hope to put in up to 20 minutes a couple times a week after I return from leave the week of March 4th. The elliptical does wonders on my back. I am also hoping to sign up for a six session lap swim in April as I used to be a competitive swimmer in high school and love swimming. It is relatively cheap as it's through the town rec department.
My motivation: be able to get my size 8 jeans past my thunder thighs! I look good from the top down, but past my waist...nope. Sigh! My sweet tooth did me in.
