Opinions on our name list

My husband and I just found out we are expecting our first baby, so I am trying to update our name list. Some of the names are my favorites, some are my husbands, and some we both like. I would appreciate any thoughts yall could give me on our names. Thanks in advance!

The other names are nice, just not my taste.  

All in all, you have two really solid lists.  I don't think you can go wrong.

On your boy list, I really like Henry, Dexter, Deacon, and (surprisingly) Linus. There's none on there that I strongly dislike.

On your girl list, my favourites are Vivienne, Sienna, Summer, Claire, and Iris. The only ones I dislike are Beatrice and Jessica.

Dexter - unfortunately, I can't get on board with this name because of the tv show, though I wouldn't mind it otherwise

Linus - reminds me of the peanuts cartoon and always feels more like a last name to me

Corbin - not a fan

Deacon - sounds like a profession not a name


Girls

Vivienne - beautiful name, very different

Claire - beatiful, timeless

 

Eliza - pretty

 

Cora - not bad, though it is a shorter name... Reminds me of Once Upon a Time

Olivia - pretty name, I do like it, but too popular

Jessica - very 80s, but possibly a good choice because it isn't so overused now

Sienna - nice

Iris - just ok

Hazel - nms personally but still an ok name

Beatrice - like the style but this name has never been one that's done anything for me 

Summer - not a huge fan. I always feel like names like this are strange- if she is born in the summer that's just too much, but if she isn't, then... why? You know? Noelle falls into the same category for me

Avery - really dislike; first because it is a male name, second because it is so popular and trendy

For the boys, I like: Deacon, Ethan, Elijah and Micah in that order.  I don't dislike the others at all (other than Linus and Henry).

Girls: Claire, Olivia are my faves.  I don't really care for Beatrice, Hazel or Eliza.  The rest are OK.  Jessica seems too "80's" to me.
