Hi, I am completely new to cloth diapers. I am currently pregnant with my 3rd baby and want to use cloth diapers. I'm not exactly sure where to start or where to purchase them except the internet. Any help would be great. Thanks
Well I wish I had seen this earlier in the day, but my suggestion would be Park + Vine in OTR, once a month they teach a class called cloth diapering cuteness. It was today at 1 pm. They go over the different types of diapers and the care for each one. They also sell various types of diapers in the shop. You can also do diaper trials with a couple of different companies online, like Jillian's drawers. They will send out different types for a specified time frame, and you try them and then send them back. We went to the class at P+V, and went from there. We started with prefolds and covers and then switched to pockets once dd was a little bigger. Good luck!
I plan on cloth diapering for the first time. I never did with the first 3. I took a class at Blue Cocoon. Great class. I am leaning toward a hybrid at first with plans to go into others (AIO)I just want to get my feet wet. I am excited to do it fr every reason. A lot of my friends love it. God luck!
I just had a baby girl Jan 27th 2013 and my husband & I made the commitment to use cloth diapers for our daughter & couldn't be happier! I worked with a girl who did the same and she told me about Fuzzibunz.com. A great site that has cloth diapers of all sizes. I was able to order the xs size to fit her while she is still small. I ordered the medium size for when she gets bigger. Fuzzibunz has a great website to help with sizing & to educate about how much you will be saving! So check it out!! So happy to hear of others wanting to use the cloth diapers!!!
I was also able to buy the larger size at buybuybaby where you can use bed bath & beyond coupons!!
Our local Target has Charlie Banana which is a good quality diaper and like PP mentioned, buybuybaby has Bumgenius diapers in store. We love our bumgenius diapers.
I would head over to the Cloth Diaper board which I where I learned enough to get started. You can also sign up on DiaperSwappers.com which is a buy/sell/trade and general chat board about cloth diapers.
I'd highly recommend checking out the cloth diapering board on TB. Their FAQs are amazing, and there's a series on Youtube called Cloth Diapering 101 that's extremely helpful. We bought all of our diapers online. We're extremely happy with our decision to CD! GL!
