I just read the previous post about tummy time length but wondering how long (or do you at all) let baby cry while on their tummy? My LO is 6 weeks old and absolutely hates tummy time. We do it in different positions (on the boppy, on our chest, laying across our knees and flat on the floor of course). In general he crys fairly immediately flat on the floor. And within 1-2 minutes in other positions. We've tried doing it at different times (after/before eating, after/before diaper change, after/before waking, etc).
So, I figure, baby will just cry for tummy time for now. So, how long do I let him cry while doing it?
Re: Tummy time and crying?
DD1 hated tummy time for the first few weeks of trying it out. She'd only tolerate it on our chest. I'd let her cry for a short time and then pick her up.
DD2 is similar. She LOVES to be on our chest and at 2 weeks could pick her head up a decent amount. She hates to be on the ground. I let her fuss a little. Like a pp, she sometimes has gas issues, so I leave her on her belly a bit to try to work it out.
