Wii Fit Plus

Does anyone use their Wii Fit Plus do some yoga? Or do most of you take a class in your local area?  Just curious to see what the rest of you do for yoga!

  • I don't have Wii Fit, but DD and I have been killin it playing Just Dance!! We have been playing for 30 minutes every other day, some days longer depending on how long I can keep up with her!! I also have Zumba, but most days that's too intense for me to keep up..

    I also have DVD's for Yoga that I sometimes do at night when I'm babysitting.

  • I still do Power Yoga 2x/week at the gym.  It's important to at least take one class so you know you are doing the positions correctly, IMO.

  • Many moons ago, I used to do the yoga on Wii Fit, but now our Wii is not in a conducive area.  I have been regularly attending a runner's yoga class for about two years, so I still go to that one once a week.  I also joined a prenatal yoga class recently, because a friend invited me.  So now I do yoga twice a week.

  • I do sometimes, but on mine you only do one position at a time. I would do it more often if they had a routine to follow along too. I usually do a prenatal yoga video on youtube, but I like how on the wii fit you can track your balance. I also have been doing the biking on there since its more like cardio and you still use the pad thingy.

    My son and I jam to Just Dance, too.  I also just got zumba for the xbox and LOVE it - but man, is that a workout - my pregnant self can barely keep up (and i'm sure i look so ridiculous)!

    For yoga I just do youtube videos.  Or, I go through the basic routine I used to do with my kindergarteners everyday (it's super easy poses, which is nice for this far along in pregnancy).  But, honestly, yoga is not really my thing - I'd rather be movin' and groovin'.
