I used to love the names Hannah and Isabel but Hannah became too popular and Isabel is ruined due to Twilight.

Narciso is a family name on my dad's side (Grandfather's name, Uncle's name, my brother's middle name) so I'd like to continue on with that. I'd also like to include either my late dad's first or middle names (Jorge Luis) some where.

Joseph/Jose runs on my mom's side (Grandfather, Uncle, Brother's first name, Brother's middle name) but I don't think I'd use it.

Let's see...Prem, Zoey, Elijah, Cora, Sovay...that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Julia (my daughter) is a family name on my maternal side, but I?ve always liked it! Mattie was my great-grandma and Harper is a last name on my paternal side which I love but again, too trendy right now to use.

Family Names I would never use: I was looking through a family tree book my grandma has, and there was a Great great great aunt named Favorite (as in this is my favorite child)! Funny because she had siblings - it would probably suck being Favorites sister

3. We didn't use any family names. We named our daughter after someone completely unrelated.
4. I would never use my own name or my husbands for a first name. I think that is tacky.

Probably Artemis - love the name and the ctrong connections it has, but I just don't think it is a very "modern" name.

Dacso (Dax for short. Vizsla, which is a hungarian dog, so he got a Hungarian name). And Leo (short for Leopold).

Both grandmothers are Mary Jane, so I would like to keep Jane as a middle name. James is my FIL's first name and my DH's middle name, so it will be used for a boy. Anderson is my mom's maiden name, so I would like to keep it alive as a MN.

I want all middle names to be family names. If we have a boy his middle name will be Forest after DHs grandpa. Not my favorite name but it's fine for a middle name.

1. Clementine for a girl. I LOVE this name but we have a tabby cat called Clementine so clearly it's not going to happen.
I also love Penelope with the NN Poppy but hubby doesn't like Poppy at all. Poppy is a guilty pleasure dream of mine.
Marigold too...although I would consider it as a middle name.
Primrose used to be a guilty pleasure but hubby said he's OK with it as a middle name so it just might happen if we get preg again and have a girl.
I love the organic names I guess.
For a boy I love Buckminster (nn Buck) but it seems like a lot to live up to!

3. We already used a family name for our son "Henry". His initial "H" is for his great-grandpa Harold who passed when I was pregnant and he has a great-great grandfather who was called Henry. There are many names in our family we would use and many we would pass on.

Adelaide. Our roommate has a cat with that name and I think it's cute. But I obviously can't name our child after a cat, so that's out.

Donna. This is one of my best friend's names, but DH wouldn't go for it.
Matthew. I've always loved the name, but it's my ex's name, so it ain't gonna happen.

Mao, our rescue kitty (my profile pic). Yes, she is named for Mao Zedong.
Laika. He was the most beautiful Husky/German Shepherd mix and he left us way too soon. We probably shouldn't have named him for the dog the Russians shot into space never to return, I guess.

Elaine if we have a girl. It's my middle name, but I dropped it to keep my maiden name as my last name, so DH suggested it would be cute to keep in the family.
Wesley is my great-great uncle's. We're thinking about it for a first or middle name, but I might change it to Westley since I'm a huge Princess Bride fan

Grant or Clark from DH's family would also be cute, but both are living, so I think that could get confusing at family gatherings.

Asher (nicknamed Ash). I LOVE this name and he is so cute. I don't have too many close friends with kids, but he is pretty much the only boy of my close friends with kids.
