name like george?

I am looking for a name that is very classic, but not common. Much easier for girls than boys.

The name that I want has the same feeling as George, but that is my brothers name, so I don't want to use it.

Is Walter way too old man?

Walter is alright. I like the suggestion of Warren. How about Garrett, Grover, Whitaker, or Gregory?

Good suggestions from pps. My favorite one suggested thus far is Raymond. Love that name and don't see it that often these days!

My little guy is a Franklin/Frank for short.  We are into classic boy names as well obviously and are trying to pick one for baby boy #2 also.  : )

If this baby is a boy, he'll likely be George.  I really love Gregory too.
