The ear piercing question post yesterday (or the day before) reminded me how baffled I am re: people who pierce their baby's ears. I would never, and hate how it looks. They're babies! They're cute enough au naturel. No need to accessorize.

Couldn't agree more! DH's mom asked me when I am taking Aubrie and I said I'm not. When she is old enough to come to me and ask me about it, I might consider it. I remember being taken when I didn't want to be and they shot me with that stupid gun... I don't wear earrings now at all, I hate them. haha

I'm going crazy reading posts recently about hoo has and pee pees. I'd rather people just say vag, penis, etc. my kid will totally be that toddler who is talking about penises instead of wee wees, and I'm cool with that.

I thought this was not an UO, but judging from the recent posts, maybe it is?

I prefer to dress my son in non-animal themed clothing. Unless I had a hedgehog themed outfit. Then he would definitely wear that. Forever.

Yeah I agree...it's hard when people say there aren't cool kids or whatever but if you notice it was pretty much the same names rotating around in that thread. I'm probably BH too because I wasn't chosen as an IRL friend but it's whatevs. I don't let it get me down

I hate the look of babies with pierced ears. Really. Hate it. It's so unneccessairy. And while they may not touch it now, once they are a year old, those ear rings seen to disappear on a regular base and people freak out wondering if they got eaten. Also, how can you just give away that bargaining tool?

I just don't get it.

I agree, and the thin mints you can buy as Keebler Grasshoppers all year round. My H loves those Samoas though. I know they have a more PC name now, but they'll always be Samoas in my heart.

Ha! Samoas were Un-PC?   It's not like they were called "SamoaNs"    People make me laugh. 

As far as the popularity thing goes with the IRL friends thread...my name is rarely brought up in the compliment a bumpie threads or the like, but it doesn't bother me.  I know that it's sometimes hard to remember everyone.  And, hey...I'm not everyone's cup of tea.  

My UO is that I think that NJ drivers should have to take competency exams...monthly...before they can drive. (No offense to the rest of my NJ ladies on here...I'm sure you guys are good drivers)

DH laughs at me because I have my nose pierced but not my ears (as if you are supposed to get your ears pierced before you get anything else pierced.  Huh??) 

Random fact about Jordan over in the middle east and ear piercing. My Aunt (who is a native Jordanian) had her second daughter there and they actually do ear piercing in the hospital for all the girls.

me  too. Why is it so hard to find outfits that don't have either animals or fire-trucks or ridiculous sayings that "I dig Mommy" etc with a picture of a truck or something.

But that seems to be all I can find and got for hand-me-downs so that is what he'll wear for now until he outgrows it all!

Apparently Zeke's UO is that Sophie sucks, we got one and he hates the squeaking and I'm pretty sure it gave my cat some kind of weird kitty PTSD because she walks around yowling and rolling all over the place.
I dont like it when moms let their little boys grow their hair out really long.

Girl Scout Cookies:  Caramel Delites are different from Samoas.  The shape is different, and Samoas have more caramel than coconut.  Caramel delites are made with dark chocolate, samoas = milk.  My DH and I have had this argument several times.  I actually called the Girl Scout council in Milwaukee a few years ago so he'd quit complaining.

My UO (or maybe not?) I love drag queens.  Can't get enough of them.  I love their attitude and how they put it all out there and don't give a $hit about what people think.  I also love that good drag queens look better than a lot of  women I know in real life.

I'm with you on this.  Maybe if I didn't have terrible motion sickness I'd be interested. Maybe. 

One time, when my H and I were going to disneyworld together, we were on the plane with these ladies who were going on a Disney cruise. Unfortunately, a hurricane was passing through the exact week of their cruise and our vacation. While DH and I had to put up with a little rain (maybe an hour a day) - our stay was mostly sunny and we had an amazing vacation. They, on the other hand, were taking gravol all week and trying not to vomit because the boat rolled for NINE. DAYS. They said it was awful and they hated every minute of it.

This is my UO as well. Mine were pierced when I was 3 months old and we plan to pierce our LO's around 6 months.

I had my ears pierced as an infant. I'm Italian and its a cultural thing.

 I love them too! One NYE we went to a new bar that opened and there was a drag queen show. Also, my step-mom's nephew is a pretty popular drag queen on the east coast. Unfortunately I have never met him.

I understand what you're saying LLHR, but I view it the same way I do "Participation" Trophies.  

It's life.  Not everyone is going to win, not everyone is going to get praise.  And, just because my name isn't mentioned or I don't get a compliment doesn't mean people don't like me. 

I didn't make Rora's list, but I know that if she and I met IRL, she'd dig me.

LMFAO.   There is only one person on that list for me.   KLM.   I really wanted to like her, but as time went on, I just started to view her as a troll... which squicked me out.

My UO: I started sleep training DS when he was 4 mo. It involved some crying but wasn't necessarily CIO. My PPD actually helped make the crying bearable.

I guess that was half UO and half pitiful!
