Waking at Night

My 5.5 month old son has been a wonderful sleeper since he turned 4 months. He's been sleeping straight through, 7:30 until 7.

He's just gotten over a cold that caused him to wake up coughing during the night. I would have to nurse him to get him back to sleep. It was a combo of eating and comfort nursing.

Now he's decided he likes to be up for a couple hours during the night. I'll nurse and he's still wide awake!

Any insight? Is this lingering effects of him being sick? Is he having a sleep regression? Or maybe he's not satisfied enough from milk and we should introduce solids?

We've been so spoiled with his great sleeping, so this is frustrating!

No real advice here, but interested to see if others have any insight since we are going through the same thing.
